* keep an ear out for sounds of 'retch and splat'.  Julia is still awake with a tummy ache and has the yuck bucket in bed with her

After a couple days of being a mostly-couch potato, I got busy today.

* took Charlotte to try and get her hair fixed.  It still looks a bit 'hacked' but will look better in a few weeks.
* picked up a new shower head with detachable hand-held shower.  Washing the girls' hair, scrubbing the tub, and washing the dog will all be much easier with the ( Read more... )

It's -46 with the wind chill this morning.  Julia was bundled up and sent to school, Jack headed to the city for an appointment, and Charlotte and I will hunker down and stay indoors today.   We'll keep busy with domestics, I'll try and get some studying and scrapbooking done, and maybe we'll snooze under a blanket together this afternoon.

I've been quiet lately.

My mom and brother are here to take care of some business for my dad, including cleaning out his house.  He's a hoarder, and it's a big mess.  Jack and my brother have spent three days hauling stuff out of the yard and house, and have only made it into the 2nd room.  Two giant Loras bins, several truck loads of wood and metal ( Read more... )
